United Way has established a rapid response fund to provide resources to local nonprofit organizations that are working with individuals and families who have been displaced or impacted by recent wild fires across Linn, Benton & Lincoln Counties.

Grants will be distributed in across Linn, Benton, & Lincoln Counties and the immediate surrounding area over the next few weeks, providing for immediate and emerging needs. Completed applications can be sent to Blake Pang at Blake@uwlbl.org.

Terms & Conditions of the Grant:
  • The agency must be a Partner Agency of United Way.
    • Due to the nature of events, UW may choose to suspend this condition.  All agencies seeking emergency aid are encouraged to apply.
  • The agency must be able to demonstrate that a “critical, unanticipated and generally non-recurring” need has arisen.
  • This is a one-time emergency grant that is expected to be dispersed within 6 months.
  • The agency must have a demonstrable history of sound accounting and business management practices.
  • The agency should not have an emergency reserve account on its own,
    • However UW may suspend this condition if the agency’s reserve account will not meet the needs of the specific emergency.
