EVENTS THAT BRING US TOGETHER

Community grows in the moments we show up for one another. Across Linn, Benton, and Lincoln Counties, United Way events create space for connection, learning, celebration, and collective action. Each gathering plays a role in turning awareness into impact and neighbors into changemakers.

ALICE Summit
The ALICE Summit brings together community leaders, partners, and advocates to explore the realities facing working families who are asset limited, income constrained and employed (ALICE). This gathering focuses on data, lived experience, and collaborative solutions to strengthen financial stability across our region.

It is a space for learning, dialogue, and shared problem-solving—aligning partners around actionable strategies that improve opportunity and reduce barriers for local families.

Crab Fest
Crab Fest is one of our most anticipated community gatherings, bringing people together for a day of great food, connection, and shared purpose. More than a celebration, it is a fundraiser that helps support our programs and local nonprofits addressing our region’s most pressing needs.

Guests come together to enjoy a memorable experience while directly contributing to efforts that strengthen families, expand opportunities, and support community-driven solutions. It’s a reminder that impact can be both meaningful and joyful.

Day of Action
Day of Action is a hands-on volunteer experience that brings together corporate partners, workplace teams, and community members to make a direct impact in our communities. It’s a chance for teams to step out of the workplace and work side by side to meet real local needs.

Participants assemble food bags for local nonprofits supporting individuals and families in need. In just a few hours, teams help move critical resources directly into the hands of neighbors while strengthening connection, purpose, and shared impact.

Pig Out for Parton
Pig Out for Parton blends community fun with purpose, supporting early childhood literacy through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. This event brings people together to celebrate generosity while helping ensure children across our region receive free books delivered to their homes each month.

Every plate served and every dollar raised helps build a foundation for lifelong learning. It’s a community tradition rooted in joy, connection, and the belief that every child deserves a strong start.

Together, these events reflect what’s possible when a community chooses to show up, take action, and invest in one another. Whether through celebration, learning, or service, each moment helps build a stronger, more connected region.
